Hello beautiful, I’m Leslie Moore and this is my very first blog post. Yay.
If you’re here, you’re probably curious about your body, your energy, your hormones… or maybe you’re just tired of feeling out of sync with yourself.
Same.
That feeling is exactly why I created Nourish Cycles.
Because this is our body. And instead of fighting against it, ignoring it, or constantly pushing through it, we deserve to understand it, support it, and actually feel good being in it.
I got so tired of going to the gyno and leaving with unanswered questions. Everything I brought up was brushed off and the only solutions offered were scans or birth control. No real explanations. No real support.
And honestly, with the stress of daily life, what’s in our food, the constant hustle, and everything else coming at us… we don’t need one more thing working against us.
So what if we changed that?
What if we learned how to actually work with our bodies instead.
Because the truth is, as women, we are not meant to function the same way every single day. But that is exactly what is expected of us.
Wake up at 5 am. Go to the gym. Work 8 or 9 hours. Come home, cook, clean, scroll, sleep. Repeat.
But our bodies do not work like that.
We operate on a cycle.
On average, about a 28 day rhythm.
Within that cycle, our hormones shift. Our energy changes. Our mood fluctuates. Our metabolism adapts.
This is normal.
Not a problem to fix. Not something to push through.
This is why some days you feel energized, social, and motivated and other days you want to slow down, rest, and be alone.
Why certain workouts feel amazing one week and exhausting the next.
Why your hunger, cravings, and focus are constantly changing.
Your body is not inconsistent. It is cyclical.
And once you understand that, everything starts to make more sense.
At Nourish Cycles, we are here to explore what it actually looks like to live in alignment with your body.
In these blogs, we’ll talk about how to fuel your body during different phases of your cycle, what your hormones are actually doing, and how to support your energy naturally.
This is about embracing being a woman.
We need awareness.
We need to learn how to listen to our bodies.
And we need to start giving our bodies what they need, when they need it.
Most women move through four main phases in an average cycle
Menstrual
Follicular
Ovulatory
Luteal
Each phase comes with its own shifts in hormones, energy, mood, and nutritional needs.
And in the next posts, we’re going to break all of this down in a way that is simple, empowering, and actually useful in your everyday life.
I’m so glad you’re here on this journey with me... It's time to start nourishing your body PERIOD
